Feeling the Love While Feeding the Homeless

This is what we say!

She said...  He said... about today!

Jessi- Reunions are awesome.
Marilee - Today I learned the difference between homeless and houseless.
Sarah - I'll never view Hawaii as "Hawaii" again.
Katie - Tired bodies are worth the joy in their eyes.
Michael C. - If you want to know about it, ask me.
Jenn S. - Love becomes more abundant when you give it away!
Mike R. - This is not paradise as you and I see it. This is real.
Jen B. - It was a good day!
Matt - Ohana (family) is the most important thing.
Wes - Most people would say we fed the homeless - what I saw today was friends having lunch together.
Toni- Today we gave away love - but we got it back in abundance.
Shawn - The prayer this morning worked and this is what Jesus would be doing.

Full House at Surfing the Nations

Today was the warm welcome of over thirty new three-month interns at Surfing the Nations!  We were included in the full day of fasting, prayer, worship, small group discussion and ohana (family) dinner!

We'll be up and leaving STN tomorrow at 5:45am to run a booth at the flea market, evangelize at the flea market, go to a local food bank for food and grill out some burgers (with all the fixins) for the homeless.

Sunday and Monday Update

Our Sunday began with a powerful church service led at the ocean by Pastor Dale.  Then we took the rest of the day to invest in the local economy and tour the island.  Some of the things we did was:  4 wheeling, whale watching, hiking, swimming, coral collecting, fabulous food trucks, shopping, jazz club, sushi bar, naps,

Monday was our sabbath day.  Five of us were taken surfing by STN staff in the pouring rain.  Those brave souls were:  Wes, Marilee, Shawn, Mike C. and Mike R.  Only one Bandaid needed!  Others rested, slept and just hung around.

We hope to get those pics up soon!

On Mission In Wahiawa!

Aloha from Hawaii!!!
We were warmly greeted after our 9 hour flight by staff from Surfing the Nations.  They presented each of us with a fresh flower leigh and warm hugs!
God warmly welcomed us with a double rainbow as we exited the airport!  Thanks God for the sign.
Tomorrow starts early with personal devotions, group prayer, then work projects.  Pray us through everyone!!!
